Here’s How You Can Give Your Bathroom a Facelift
Is your bathroom tiles looking a bit dated? Are you tired of the same old look? If so, don’t worry – you don’t have to replace them all! St. Louis Flooring will discuss how you can give your bathroom a facelift by simply replacing old bathroom tiles. We will provide tips and advice on how to do it yourself, as well as what materials you will need.
The first thing you need to do is identify the problem areas. This may be tiles that are cracked, chipped, or otherwise damaged. Once you have identified the problem areas, it’s time to get to work!
To start, you will need to remove the old tile. Use a hammer and chisel to loosen the tile and then gently pry it up. If you are having trouble removing the tile, you can try heating it with a hair dryer or heat gun. This will help loosen the adhesive holding the tile in place.
Once you have removed all of the old tiles, it’s time to clean up the area. Be sure to remove any leftover adhesive or grout. You can use a putty knife or scraper to remove any stubborn residue.
Now it’s time to install the new tile. Begin by spreading adhesive on the back of the tile. Once the adhesive is in place, carefully set the tile into position. Use a level or straight edge to ensure that the tile is even with the surrounding tiles. Repeat this process until all of your new tiles are in place.
Once all of the new tiles are installed, you can grout them. Be sure to use a non-sanded grout for bathrooms, as sanded grout can damage delicate surfaces like glass or porcelain. Apply the grout with a rubber float, working it into all of the cracks and crevices. Wipe away any excess grout with a damp sponge.
And that’s it! With just a few simple steps, you can give your bathroom a whole new look.
